Abdullah Al-Johany

Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al Juhany is one of the Imams of Al Masjid Al-Haram (Holy mosque of mecca) and one of the most famous Islamic reciters, he was born in Al-medina (Saudi Arabia) in 1396/1976, and he completed memorizing Quran at young age at one of the mosques in medina where he also finished his basic education. His intelligence at Quran learning was well-known and obvious; he won the First prize in the international competition of the Qur'an at the age of 16. His Islamic rise and his interest with Quran made him join the Faculty of Quran in the Islamic University of Medina. After graduation he worked as Quran teacher at a school at Medina, he also worked at Preparation of Teachers in Medina for a number of years before his appointment at College of Da'wa 'Islamic Call' and Fundamentals of Religion (Umm al-Qura University) where he get his master and PhD in Quran studies. His career in the field of leading Salah is full of achievements as he began this career early, when he was a young man he was Imam at the most three famous mosques at Al-medina ( masjid al- Qiblatain, masjid Quba and masjid Al-nabawi[ the mosque of the prophet] ). Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al Juhany shared at leading salat Altraweh at al- masjid Al- haram ( the holy mosque of mecca ) with other Imams in 1426/2005 then he was appointed to be Imam and preacher at masjid Haram ( the great mosque of mecca ) in 1428/2007. Sheikh al-Juhani spent most of his life at the service of the book of God (Quran ) ; he memorized Quran when he was young then he became a Quran teacher after that he specialized at Quran studies and he became imam of the most famous Islamic mosques.
