Abdul Bari Ath Thobaity

Sheikh Abdul Bari Bin Awad Al Thobaity was born in Mecca in Saudi Arabia in 1380 / 1960, his life is full of events, achievements in the field of Daa'wa and voluntary work In addition to important positions he held like being Imam of Masjid Haram (the Holy mosque of Mecca) for several years. Now, he works as an imam in masjid Al-Nabawi (Prophet Muhammad Mosque) in Medina since the year 1414 / 1994. His childhood was special and unique as he memorized Quran perfectly at his early years, he also worked as Quran teacher and leaded Muslims at Al-salat when he was only 9 parallel with his basic education" that was incredible". Also he was appointed as imam in one of the mosques during his university study at the Faculty of Science in King Abdul Aziz University, and he got the first place in the international competition of the Holy Quran in Mecca when he was 19. Sheikh Abdul Bari Al Thobaity worked in some schools and as imam of many mosques; He gained the honor of being imam in Masjid Haram (the Holy Mosque of mecca) and Al-masjid Al-Nabawi (the Mosque of the prophet Muhammad) the greatest and most sacred Muslims' Mosques. Sheikh Abdul Bari’s vocal cords were injured and his voice was affected as a result of a disease, so he had to stop his work as Imam and reciter for 4 years, then he returned to his work at Al-masjid Al-Nabawi after his recovery. Sheikh Abdul Bari Al Thobaity held lots of important positions at scientific and Islamic Organizations, also his career was full of achievements at the social, charity and voluntary work in Saudi Arabia.
